CORE VALUES: Safety - We believe that all injuries are preventable and by working together we can make safety a way of life, inside and outside the workplace.Service – We believe in meeting every customer with the highest level of performance and quality.Innovation – We believe in encouraging our employees to create ethical, forward thinking solutions.Integrity – We believe in executing to the highest standards of ethical conduct and a commitment to open and honest communication.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assists Distribution Manager with daily operations.Monitor daily reports including warehouse health report.Communicate in a timely manner with Customer Service, Supply Chain and Management.Maintain a positive and clean work environment in conjunction with maintaining all SAFETY procedures.Provides POD’s when necessary to Customer Service in a timely manner.Files all paperwork daily.Checks POD’s for exceptions and communicate and correct them on a daily basis.Assists Drivers with daily paperwork flow.Order appropriate office supplies.Verify shipping process each morning.Ability to fax, scan and email documents.Assist with year-end inventory process.Assist with inventory control and stock adjustments.Answer inbound phone calls and emails.Ensures that the “Returns” process is followed through with daily. By making outgoing calls to notify customers of plans to pick up returnsAbility to inspect and make decisions on the quality or salability of returned goods.Communicate and document issues during the process, both internally and externallyMonitors and reports weekly on the “Open Returns Report”.Guide and direct others with the processing and handling of returned goods.Assist with Will Call customers and their orders.Daily communication with the Distribution ManagerAll other tasks as assigned by Distribution management.   Education / Experience: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.ERP technology – experience a plus but not required – training will be provided.1-2 years warehouse experienceKnowledge of Word and Excel Working Demands / Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to stand/bend/walk for long periods of time  REPORTS TO:  Distribution Manager  CONCLUSION: A Distribution Support Specialist will exemplify the high standards that have come to be associated with WSC.  As a frontline employee, politeness, honor, integrity and the willingness to do what our competition will not is expected in every client interaction.  The safety of our employees, holding up to our Core Values and growth of WSC is every ESOP owner’s prime objective.
