Job Description

Summary:  The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, and thorough understanding of ERP Systems methodology.  The ERP Support Specialist will work in a support role with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems users at all levels throughout the Enterprise and its business partners, both independently and on a team.  This role will be required to work on several different tasks simultaneously including design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain solutions to enhance the ERP systems.

 

Duties to include, (but not limited to):

·         Support the ERP Systems Manager and perform essential functions in the absence of other team members.

·         Perform as a member of the ERP systems support team working with users throughout the organization and its partners.

·         Provide support and communication to team members related to team goals, change management, and learning opportunities.

·         Thoroughly understand ERP systems security to assign appropriate system access to users at different levels throughout the organization and its partners. Create and update access permissions and maintains user accounts.

·         Work with ERP systems users and management to determine appropriate system configuration and setup.

·         Assist ERP systems users with data changes, updates, and imports.

·         Assist with testing new releases of ERP systems prior to use in a production environment. 

·         Create documentation, procedures, and guidelines for ERP systems users.

·         Work to optimize systems for ease of use and train appropriate personnel on system functions.

·         Thoroughly understand business practices and procedures to design, develop and maintain automated workflow processes.

·         Work with knowledgeable persons throughout enterprise and partners to help define user needs and business requirements/solutions.

·         Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve any ERP related software issues.

·          Demonstrate cultural competence and behaviors consistent with the core values, vision, and mission of WSC.

Job Requirements

  • An ERP Support Specialist will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:

    ·         Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

    ·         Remain highly organized, flexible, and able to react well to issues with attention to detail and deadlines.

    ·         Possess above average math, problem solving, and analytical skills.

    ·         Learn new technologies and keep abreast of the latest technological advances.

    ·         Utilize standard industry productivity tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

     

    Education / Experience:

    ·         Bachelors or associates degree preferred from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    ·         Must have familiarity and understanding of scripting languages, XML, Application Program Interface (API),  and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

    ·         Experience with Business Process Mapping.

    ·         Prior experience with ERP systems; Infor M3 or Infor CloudSuite Distribution Enterprise preferred.

    ·         ERP implementation experience preferred.

    ·         Distribution and manufacturing experience preferred.

     

    Working Demands / Physical Requirements:

    ·         General office conditions with continuous sitting with heavy computer usage.

    ·         Occasional short-term out-of-town travel.

    ·         Occasional afterhours support on a rotational basis.

    ·         Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
