Job Description

Duties to include, (but not limited to): •         Interpret information from a number of sources including product catalogs, price sheets, and product managers to determine rules for Waudena •         Create and maintain configured materials product specifications. •         Validate product data and import into Paradigm's MyCD Product Configurator application. •         In a backup capacity, validate product data and import into the Infor configure-price-quote (CPQ) application. •         Work closely with sales management and external partners to ensure configurations are accurate and complete. •         You will maintain regular verbal and written contact with customer project teams via weekly project status calls, remote working sessions, email, and issue tracking tools  •         Backup Customer Service department with phone calls and email support as needed. •         Address customer issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution. •         Resolve open issues by identifying and correcting errors in the product configuration logic.   An Product Configuration Specialist will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to: •         Perform advanced Microsoft functions including complex formulas, linking, and external data sets. •         Perform all configuration administration task within Paradigm's product configurator applications. •         Demonstrate knowledge of millwork terminology and methods. •         Excellent customer service and strong communication (both written & verbal). Including the ability to translate technical concepts to people without technical expertise.  •         Self-motivated and resourceful, with strong interpersonal skills; able to work individually as well as with a team.    Education / Experience: •         Possess a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, computer science, or information technology, or related field. •         Minimum of 3 years of experience in product configuration and its integration into support applications, such as costing, quotations, sales order entry and manufacturing.   Working Demands / Physical Requirements: •         General office conditions with continuous sitting with heavy computer usage. •         Occasional short-term out-of-town travel for educational purposes   Conclusion:  The Product Configuration Specialist will exemplify the high standards that have come to be associated with WSC. As an ESOP owner, acting with honor, integrity, and positivity is an imperative. The maintenance and accuracy of systems that allow for sales of configured product is the Product Configuration Specialist prime objective.  The Product Configuration Specialist reports to the Director of Information Technology.
