Summary: Taylor Entrance Systems (TES) Quality Control Specialist is responsible for the day to day quality standards of all areas of our facilities including the production of goods and service that is provided to our customers.   It is the responsibility of the Quality Control Specialist to maintain positive relations with all internal levels of the organization as well as the customers.

Duties to include, (but not limited to):

  • Help, Develop and maintain Quality standards
  • Monitor processes and product
  • Daily walk through of assembly/production plant
  • Fork truck operations
  • Assist in daily quality issues
  • Inspection of incoming materials
  • Inspection of out-going products
  • Work with employees to identify quality issues/concerns
  • Data collection
  • Non-Conforming Material Process (Scrap/Rejection/Deviation)
  • Corrective Action Process (Quality Alert/Quality Bulletin)
  • Ability to use various measurement tools
  • Finish goods auditing process
  • Maintaining the Gage Calibration Program
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word, handheld, TWL, SXE & etc.)
  • Assist in training production operators in the quality aspects of their respective jobs
  • Good housekeeping and organization in the work area
  • Other duties as prescribed by management may be included

Quality Control Specialist Demonstrates:

•         Problem solving and innovative solutions to improve first pass quality

•         Dynamic self-motivation and ability to work in high pressure situations

•         Ability to maintain positive moral within the production workforce

Education / Experience:

•         High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•         Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

•         Ability to read, utilize and interpret measuring devices

•         Maintain a fork truck driver’s license

•         Minimum of 2 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
